Assignment #15- Final Reflection

At the end of this semester i can to understand how to write at a college level. Yes, i have gained some knowledge on how to write a paper. My goal was to be able to write a level that fits my career level, have i reach that goal? To be honest No! i have not but i know that i am on the right trail to being on track. To make sure that i reach these goal will further more take writing course to make that my skill is improving. Also i will practice on my writing and look for knowledge that will help me improve more. I know that my strongest skills in getting all my info down on paper and that my weakest in my structure. In time i know that will get at the skill level that i want to be at.

Extra Credit Blog Assignment

One topic that I was thinki9ng of writing of is that “Should Students work long hour jobs while attending college as a freshman”. This topic hits on many aspects because their many issues that occur for students that work. One issue is students work so that they can pay for their bills and pay for their college tuition. Now a days parents are finding harder and harder to find money to afford for the education schooling their child decides to take. So students work just so that they can help pay for school.  Another issue that happens is that some students become overwhelm with work and with school and focuses those to take a path that will just lead to more trouble. Form becoming overwhelmed form school and work it will lead them to becoming stress and angry and even depressed.  This will lead them to become an emotional wrack and they can become a danger to themselves or other around them. This issue has been taken serious for a long time we need to understand the heath of the youth is important and will need to be take precaution on how to deal with it. So why should students work these long hour jobs? Yes it will help to pay for college or other important thing that person makes that their higher purpose or should we let these students have a burden that will cause my internal pain then imagine. But I am not saying that some people cannot do this, truth is some people have the will to overcome this. If the person has the maturity and ability to work like and has the strength then I say go for it but only that person can decide if they can or cannot do it.       

Assignment #12- Thinking Critically About Evidence

My augured thesis is " Should CPS schools admit to longer school days which help prepare students but also interfere with teachers financially".

• My most compelling evidence is that students will have more time to be properly taught and give them more time for educational purpose.Having lengthier school will give children time to catch up with assignments that they have fell back a upon.This will keep students off the street and keep them out of trouble and out of harms ways. Another positive that comes for longer school days is that it will allow parents time to themselves in which they can catch up on their own time or work if need. 
• My weakest evidence that I clams is that teacher will be effect but longer school days. Not referring that teacher wont be, teacher will lose pay and for well that working for free is not what they intend to do. 

My strongest evidence may seem like a positive and my weakest seem like a negative and seem that I am for longer school days but i am not. There may issues that occur due to this topic such as teacher working for free is idea that our society does not believe in. Many believe that if we work we should be paid for the time that we worked for. Teacher will refuse to work for if not paid and will surly boycott that rule. This then leave students will no education to learn of. Making parents angry that their child is not getting an education due to this. There is a bigger picture that lays behind more then we know then what in font. We must look at it before taking a side on who is really effective.         

Assignment #13- Analyzing and Writing Arguments

         One essay that I analyzed was one of "Should Fine Arts be a Requirement at Northeastern. In this essay the writer had a understanding of what he was writing.  As I went on, I came to realized one weakness in the essay and that is that he did not have evidence to support his argument this cause his essay to be less structured. I learned that i must have a structured paper and this will help make my essay supportive and with the evidence supporting it my essay will have a strong point behind it.     

Assignment #11- Patterns of Error

Looking back at my last essay's I noticed that I make the same mistakes. One is that I over use the words also, and. I tend to use these words over and over, even though I know that I am doing it I still do not fix my mistakes. Another I do is that I do not make use of the the corrections that i get from others that look at my paper. I do not know why i don't but I tend to just rewrite my essay until i feel that it sounds right. Final thing i do is i do not organize my ideas right and this does affect my grading, but the patter that i use has been the way I write and I NEVER MAKE THE EFFORT TO CHANGE IT.

Assignment #9- A Choice in Topics

                   I have many goals that I would like to proceed for my education that I want to succeed in. One large goal that I up hold is that I want to be the first to graduate college out a family of five. I feel that I as the middle child with an older brother who dropped out of school should still the belief that my parents instilled in me. Growing up my family was semi poor, as a child I saw my parents struggled to get me all the things that I need. So this is why I want to complete college is so that I can do what my parents did for me and this why I follow this goal.   I know I am not the best of student and that I struggle but I do my best and I weather try then not try at all. Another goal that I wish to complete is finishing my generals and get a doctors in Physical Education and have a degree in art. I feel that I have been always in physical activates so I believe why not following it in a career. Another why wanted to fallow a career as an art teacher because I have always be interested in art and I been drawing for along while now. I feel that children today should be taught to open up their creativity and let it open it to a new world. My goal may be simple but my goals are my own and I feel that it something that I feel is valuable to me. Many may judge because I the way I am but who I am is the reason why I hold some many beliefs that I believe is right. 

Assignment #8- Thinking About Arguments

The argument that I wish to analysis is the legalization of weed.  Due to the fact by weed can be a substance that insures the growth of our economy. It would help lower the taxation on mostly all products that deal with our economy. Also by doing this it lower crime rate and bring a new income to all who use to this substance. Hemp would be welcome to the states and it would make a new type of fashion that would be used in the United States. Those who use this as an income would help those who have no income and bring a new type of stability to those who are in a financial struggle.

I chose this because many who I talked to have established a stance on this conversation. I know many who struggled who feel that if they used weed as an income and would help them in many ways. I have no interested in weed use but what I feel that has a lot of meaning to me is that it would lower crime levels a bit. In past situations I know those who got into situations that occurred due to mistaken identity over drugs. I feel that this is important to society and our government to look into every idea that helps improve our life style. I do not like the use of weed but if it can help I be for it, if it can be proven to improve.
